What to Expect from a Bathhouse Experience at Aurora

A BATHHOUSE EXPERIENCE THAT ADAPTS TO YOU

A bathhouse experience at Aurora Spa & Bathhouse is designed to honour the individuality of each body, inviting guests to move intuitively through warmth, cool and rest.

No two bodies arrive at the bathhouse in the same state.

Some carry accumulated stress.

Some arrive depleted, others overstimulated.

Hormone levels, energy, sleep, life stage and season all shape how we feel – and how we respond to warmth, cold and rest.

At Aurora Spa & Bathhouse, our approach honours this individuality. The bathhouse is not about doing more, pushing through, or completing a set sequence. It is about returning to yourself, listening closely, and responding to what your body needs in that moment.

Our [Bathhouse Journey video] offers a visual introduction to this philosophy – not as instruction, but as invitation. What follows is a guide to the spaces you may move through, and how they support different states of rest, recovery and renewal.

A RITUAL THAT ADAPTS TO YOU

The Aurora bathhouse follows an 11-step ritual, designed around contrast therapy, sensory variation and deep rest. Rather than a fixed pathway, this ritual offers a framework – one that guests are encouraged to interpret intuitively.

Some move slowly, lingering in warmth.

Others seek the clarity of contrast.

Some return again and again to stillness.

There is no correct order, duration or outcome – only awareness.

THE AURORA BATHHOUSE JOURNEY

1. Cleansing Ritual

The experience begins with a cleansing ritual – a moment of transition that invites you to leave the outside world behind. This step creates a pause, allowing breath to slow and awareness to shift inward.

2. Daydream Pool

Warm and gently buoyant, the Daydream Pool supports deep relaxation. For those arriving with heightened stress or fatigue, this is often where the nervous system begins to settle, offering a sense of safety and ease.

3. Cold Plunge

The cold plunge introduces contrast. For some, this offers clarity and renewed energy; for others, a brief, mindful dip is enough. Listening to your breath and response is more important than duration.

4. Reflexology Pool

Textured surfaces underfoot gently stimulate pressure points, supporting circulation and grounding. This space often feels supportive for those seeking reconnection with the body after periods of mental fatigue or disconnection.

5. Vitality Pool

Designed to invigorate, the Vitality Pool combines warmth and movement. Some guests use this space to gently reawaken energy, while others revisit it between heat experiences to maintain flow and circulation.

6. Aroma Steam Room

Soft, enveloping heat and aromatic steam encourage muscular release and slower breathing. This space can feel particularly supportive during times of hormonal fluctuation or heightened tension.

7. Glacial Mist Room

A lighter cooling experience, the Glacial Mist Room offers refreshment without intensity. Many guests find this a gentle way to regulate temperature and reset between thermal experiences.

8. Nordic Sauna

Dry heat in the Nordic Sauna supports detoxification and deep muscular relaxation. Some guests stay briefly, others longer – guided by comfort, breath and internal cues.

9. Sensory Showers

Variations in temperature, pressure and scent provide sensory clarity. These showers help the body transition smoothly between warmth and cool, supporting balance rather than shock.

10. Halotherapy Room

The Halotherapy Room offers a mineral-rich, quiet environment designed to support respiratory comfort and deep rest. Many guests choose to linger here, allowing the effects of the ritual to integrate.

11. Thermal Lounges

Thermal Lounges invite stillness. This is where the body recalibrates, and where many guests notice a sense of return – to breath, presence and equilibrium.

LISTENING TO YOUR BODY

Aurora is founded on the belief that wellbeing is not prescriptive. Stress levels, hormone balance, energy reserves and emotional states are constantly shifting – and the body communicates these needs clearly when given space.

The bathhouse is designed to support that conversation.

You may crave warmth, seek contrast, or simply rest. You may move continuously, or pause often. Each experience is valid, and each visit may feel different from the last.

A PLACE OF RETURN

Rather than a one-time experience, the Aurora bathhouse is intended as a place to return to – again and again – as your needs change.

Through attentive movement, contrast and rest, the ritual supports a deeper relationship with your body, helping you recognise when to restore, when to energise, and when to simply be.

To see this philosophy reflected visually, we invite you to watch our [Bathhouse Journey video], offering a gentle introduction to the spaces and rhythm that await.
